Tustin: Teenage Trespassers Rescued From Tustin Blimp Hangars

02.24.2019 | 11:07 PM | TUSTIN – Three teenagers were under arrest after trespassing into the historic Tustin Blimp Hangars, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of individuals trespassing at the north blimp hangar around 11:07 PM.

Units arriving on scene surrounded the location and quickly learned than three teenagers were hiding inside.

Officers made entry and successfully detained a male and female but were advised of a third trespasser who was hiding on the roof the hangar.

Police and fire helicopters on scene located the third suspect on the roof of the hangar.

A firefighter paramedic was lowered onto the roof of the hangar via helicopter and secured the patient before extricating them to an awaiting ambulance for evaluation.

It was unclear what the individuals were doing inside the hangar when they were discovered.

The Tustin Police Department is investigating.
