Tustin: Suspect Intentionally Rams Gate, Crashes Into Three Cars While Fleeing

02.29.2020 | 2:06 AM | TUSTIN – A domestic violence suspect was being sought after ramming into the gate of a home and then crashing into three vehicles while fleeing, early Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a structure in the 1700 block of Irvine Boulevard near Brittany Woods Drive around 2:06 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a metal gate in an alleyway behind a home that had been rammed by a vehicle.

Initial reports indicate the owner of the home was involved in a domestic dispute with the driver of a green Jeep Wrangler sporting lifted suspension and a large bumper with a winch.

During the dispute the driver of the Jeep intentionally rammed the homeowner’s gate before fleeing southbound on Brittany Woods Drive.

While fleeing the suspect slammed into an Audi TT coupe causing a chain reaction crash involving three parked vehicles in the 13000 block of Brittany Woods Drive.

All three vehicles were damaged but the Jeep continued on.

Officers followed a fluid trail from the Jeep but did not immediately locate the suspect.

No injuries were reported.
