Santa Ana: Fire Damages LGBTQ Center OC

01.13.2021 | 10:53 PM | SANTA ANA – A rubbish fire is under investigation after it left part of a LGBTQ center damaged, Tuesday night.

Authorities were called to the fire in the alleyway behind the LGBTQ Center OC, located in the 1600 block of North Spurgeon Street, around 10:53 PM.

When crews arrived on scene they found a pile of trash burning under a stairwell to the LGBTQ Center.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire before it could spread but flames charred a staircase and damaged a wall to the building.

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire. It was not immediately known if the center was targeted.
