Santa Ana: JCPenney Robbery Nets Criminals About $10,000 Worth Of Loot

12.20.2021 | 11:06 PM | SANTA ANA – Criminals made off with about $10,000 worth of loot after simulating a weapon in a JCPenney department store, late Monday night.

The robbery was reported at the JCPenney inside the MainPlace Mall, located in the 2800 block of North Main Street, around 11:00 PM.

When units arrived on scene they learned that two men simulated having a weapon while ransacking the cosmetic section of the store.

Both suspects fled the location prior to the arrival of law enforcement and were described as being black males wearing beanies, hooded jackets and masks, according to a radio broadcast.

Police said the loss from the store was estimated at around $10,000.

No injuries to employees or civilians were reported.
