Newport Beach: Police Investigate Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza Store Burglary

06.01.2019 | 2:20 AM | NEWPORT BEACH – Officers are investigating after the iconic Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza Store was burglarized, early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to reports of a smash and grab burglary at the Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza Store in the 2300 block of Bristol Street around 2:20 AM.

Units arriving on scene confirmed the glass on a door to the business has been smashed and took up a perimeter around the building in case the suspect(s) were still inside.

Using a police K9 officers cleared the building without incident.

It was unclear what, if anything, was taken during the burglary.

An investigation, including a review of any surveillance footage of the crime, is ongoing.
