04.14.2020 | 9:19 PM | NEWPORT BEACH – A driver was injured after crashing through a gate onto the beach, Tuesday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision at the dead-end of Seashore Drive near Summit Street around 9:19 PM.
Units arriving on scene located a silver Honda Accord that had crashed through the gate at a dead-end before becoming stuck in the sand against a second gate.
Firefighter paramedics treated the male driver on scene before transporting him to an area trauma center in unknown condition.
A witness on scene reported the driver was continued ram the second gate which leads to the water but appeared to be stuck.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
