05.20.2023 | 9:43 PM | SANTA ANA – Another vehicle plowed into an apartment building just weeks after a similar crash left a woman critically injured, Friday night.
The crash occurred at Vista del Rio, a two-story apartment building for persons suffering from physical and developmental disabilities, located in the 1600 block of West Memory Lane around 9:43 PM.
When units arrived on scene they located silver Chevrolet Corvette that had collided with a bollard before coming to rest against the building.
No structural damage was reported but the Corvette appeared to be totaled.
Medics treated the driver and solo occupant of the Corvette at the scene before rushing them to an area hospital in unknown condition.
It was unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash which remains under investigation.
A similar collision occurred just weeks prior on May 1 when a minivan smashed through the building into an apartment, leaving a woman pinned in critical condition.
Another crash on August 8, 2021 also involved a vehicle colliding with the building.
