02.07.2023 | 11:20 AM | LAKE FOREST – A family dispute led to a murder-suicide when a husband murdered his wife inside a home in a quiet neighborhood, Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies responded to reports of a family dispute involving a man threatening to kill a woman believed to be his wife at a home in the 22400 block of Bywater Road around 11:20 AM.
When authorities arrived they surrounded the home and attempted to establish contact with any occupants inside.
After over an hour, SWAT operators entered the home and discovered two adult victims deceased.
Preliminary reports indicate that the couple were husband and wife, although additional information was not immediately available.
Several schools in the area were placed on lockdown as the incident unfolded in the otherwise quiet neighborhood.
