06.16.2021 | 10:11 PM | SANTA ANA – A crash involving at least four vehicles left traffic at a standstill while authorities worked to clear lanes, Wednesday night.
The crash was reported on the southbound SR-55 Freeway near MacArthur Boulevard around 10:11 PM.
Units arriving on scene found a multi-vehicle wreck with two vehicles, a white Chevrolet Tahoe and a red Ford Ranger, blocking lanes of traffic.
Two other vehicles, both sedans, were stopped nearby on the right shoulder with damage.
One person from the wreck reported injuries to their neck and was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
All lanes were stopped for about 30 minutes while authorities worked to clear debris.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Another multi-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist was reported around the same time just a mile ahead but was not believed to be related.
