05.17.2022 | 4:30 PM | GARDEN GROVE – A man who died days after he was shot inside a home was identified by authorities, Tuesday evening.
Dave Abbott, 57, of Garden Grove, died on May 12, 2022 following a shooting inside a home days prior on May 7, according to a police press release.
Officers investigating quickly determined that the suspected shooter, 51-year-old Ali Samoodi, of Anaheim, had fled shortly after the in a U-Haul rental truck.
Samoodi was ultimately arrested following a high-speed pursuit which ended with a SWAT standoff.
The shooting was believed to have been prompted by a dating relationship between the two.
