Anaheim: Police Identify Victim & Suspect In Homicide

05.09.2022 | 6:30 PM | ANAHEIM – The man who was killed was identified by police along with his suspected killer, authorities announced.

Amado Francisco Lopez-Martinez, 34, of Anaheim, was found dead in a car by officers responding to reports of screaming in the 1500 block of West Ball Road on May 8, 2022.

Another man found by officers in the vehicle, identified as 24-year-old Jorge Escamilla, of Anaheim, was arrested on suspicion of murder and booked in the Anaheim City Jail in lieu of $1 million bail.

The relationship between Escamilla and Lopez-Martinez was not immediately disclosed but detectives are encouraging anyone with information regarding Escamilla to contact them at (714) 321-3669.
