Anaheim: Homicide Investigation Underway After Man Found Dead Inside Parked Car

05.08.2022 | 1:00 PM | ANAHEIM – A homicide investigation is underway after authorities discovered a man dead inside a parked vehicle, police announced Sunday morning.

The discovery was made by officers responding to reports of screaming heard from a vehicle parked in the 1500 block of West Ball Road, near Ball Junior High School, around 8:39 AM.

When authorities arrived they located two individuals inside the vehicle, one of whom had sustained trauma and was pronounced deceased.

The second individual, described as a Hispanic male adult, was detained as he exited the vehicle.

The circumstances surrounding the death, including the identity of the deceased and the detained individual were not made public although police said there is no outstanding suspects or threat to public safety.

All lanes of Ball Road between Loara and Gilbuck streets are expected to be closed for the remainder of the day, police added.
