08.02.2022 | 4:00 PM | WESTMINSTER – Police are seeking the public’s help after a man was found shot to death inside a van in a Fountain Valley gas station parking lot, authorities announced Tuesday.
Donald Joshua Ratzlaff, 41, of Huntington Beach, was found deceased from a gunshot wound in the passenger seat of a white van parked in the Arco gas station parking lot, located in the 10900 block of Edinger Avenue in Fountain Valley, around 4:30 AM.
The discovery came just 20 minutes after officers were dispatched to reports of shots fire in the rear of an apartment complex located in the 15200 block of Magnolia Street in Westminster.
At the scene of the apartment complex officers learned that there was an argument prior to shots being fired. An unspecified number of subjects fled in a white van believed to be the same as the one located in Fountain Valley.
The driver of the van fled the scene and is being sought by police who are seeking the public’s assistance in locating additional witnesses or evidence.
