Westminster: Person Transported With Major Injuries After Crash

05.16.2020 | 11:38 PM | WESTMINSTER – Two people were transported, including one in “full traumatic arrest,” after a crash into a pole, late Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision at the intersection of Poinsettia Way and Downing Circle at around 11:38 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a white Honda Civic sedan that struck a sign pole.

Firefighter paramedics treated two victims from the vehicle on scene before transporting them to UCI Medical Center.

At least one of the victims was described as being in “full traumatic arrest.”

Officers cordoned off the area while they worked to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

During their investigation, an unrelated black SUV occupied by a suspected DUI driver drove up to the closure and was detained.
