02.28.2026 | 3:14 AM | WESTMINSTER – A motorcycle rider died in a high-speed crash, early Saturday morning.
The deadly collision was reported after witnesses say a motorcycle traveling at high speeds collided with a wall on the northbound I-405 Freeway, north of Springdale Street, around 3:14 AM.
When authorities arrived they found the rider down in lanes suffering from obviously fatal injuries.
Local police located what was believed to be the rider’s helmet near the intersection of Valley View Street and Tiffany Avenue. The helmet was said to have evidence of being dragged by a vehicle though no vehicle was located nearby.
Reports from the scene suggested that other vehicles may have struck the downed rider but left the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Authorities initiated a full freeway closure to secure the scene while they investigated the deadly collision.
