Tustin: Teenager Fatally Struck By Tesla Model 3

07.13.2019 | 9:31 PM | TUSTIN – A teenager was killed after being struck by a Tesla Model 3 while trying to cross a busy street, Saturday night.

Authorities responded to the reported traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Jamboree Road at West Drive near the Irvine-Tustin Marketplace around 9:31 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a 19-year-old boy, later identified as Trace Goodwin of Pensacola, Florida, down in the intersection suffering from obvious trauma.

Firefighter paramedics attempted life-saving measured before declaring the boy deceased on scene.

The driver of the Tesla Model 3 that struck the pedestrian stopped and remained on scene to cooperate with law enforcement.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
