Tustin: Student Stabbed At High School By Another Student

01.31.2023 | 12:18 PM | TUSTIN – One student was rushed to a hospital while another was detained following a reported stabbing a Tustin High School, Tuesday afternoon.

The assault with a deadly weapon occurred at Tustin High School, located in the 1100 block of El Camino Real, when a student used a knife to attack another student.

Reports from the scene indicate the victim student was a sophomore that was stabbed around three times in his abdomen. Medics treated the stabbing victim at the scene before rushing him to an area hospital.

School staff quickly detained the armed student who was later taken into custody by police, although it was unclear if an arrest was made.

The knife used in the attack was recovered by police who are continuing to investigate the circumstances that lead to the incident.

The school campus was placed on a lockdown that lasted about two hours before being lifted.
