Tustin: Pursuit Ends In Quiet Neighborhood

05.17.2021 | 12:30 AM | TUSTIN – A police pursuit ended in a quiet neighborhood when a vehicle being driven by a suspect jumped a curb, early Monday morning.

According to scanner traffic the pursuit began around 12:30 AM when officers from the Irvine Police Department attempted to stop a silver Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.

The driver of the truck apparently fled from officers and entered the northbound I-5 Freeway before exiting onto Red Hill Avenue in Tustin.

The chase continued on city streets before coming to an end in front of a home in the 1400 block of Garland Avenue around 12:40 AM.

It was unclear if the driver surrendered or fled into the nearby community.

Additional information regarding the pursuit was not immediately available and calls to the Irvine and Tustin police departments were not returned by time of press.
