03.24.2026 | 1:03 AM | TUSTIN – A massive fire engulfed a home leaving one person injured, early Tuesday morning.
Callers reported the fire at a single-story detached home in the 13600 block of Marshall Lane around 1:03 AM.
When crews arrived they found heavy fire and smoke shooting out of the home and initiated an aggressive fire attack.
Due to the significant fire load and potential for a roof collapse, firefighters worked to douse the blaze from the exterior in a defensive strategy that protected adjacent homes.
Officials declared a second-alarm resulting in a significant number of fire personnel being assigned to the incident.
At one point a portion of the home’s roof collapsed, though nobody was injured thanks to the defensive strategy being employed to extinguish the blaze.
The firefight lasted about an hour before the bulk of the fire was snuffed.
One person, a female adult, sustained injuries related to the blaze and was rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The extent of her injuries was not immediately known.
No other injuries were reported and fire investigators are on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.
