Tustin: Man Dies On Freeway After Being Struck By Multiple Vehicles

08.09.2025 | 10:03 PM | TUSTIN – A man who reportedly jumped out of a car was dead after being struck by numerous vehicles on the I-5 Freeway, Saturday night.

The incident began to unfold around 10:03 PM when authorities received calls of a man who had exited a vehicle on the southbound I-5 Freeway just north of Tustin Ranch Road.

Additional calls began to pour in after the man was struck by multiple vehicles while in lanes.

When units arrived on scene they found the obviously deceased man down in the slow lane.

Numerous vehicles were stopped nearby including those driven by witnesses and driver’s who had collided with the man’s body.

All lanes of the southbound I-5 Freeway were temporarily halted, with some lanes later reopening, while officers worked to investigate the scene.

It is unclear why the man exited the vehicle but the female driving reportedly stayed on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement. The identity of the decedent has not yet been revealed.
