Tustin: Man Dies After Falling During Altercation, Police Seek Witnesses

03.09.2022 | 6:00 PM | TUSTIN – A man died after falling during an altercation at a gas station and authorities are seeking anyone who might have witnessed the incident, police announced Wednesday evening.

The altercation involving four male subjects occurred Wednesday, Feb. 9 at the Costco gas station, located in the 2700 block of Park Avenue, around 9:07 PM.

Police say one of the four subjects fell during the altercation and fractured his skull.

Medics rushed the man to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The man’s identity was not immediately disclosed and it was unclear if any of the three other subjects involved were identified.

There was no word on what led up to the altercation or whether the incident was being treated as a homicide.

A press release described the incident as an assault and battery but it was unclear if any arrests had been made.
