Tustin: Juvenile Stabbing Suspect Arrest Prompts Large Police Presence

07.02.2021 | 12:45 PM | TUSTIN – The arrest of a juvenile stabbing suspect prompted a large police presence, Friday afternoon.

Officers gathered around a home in the 13600 block of Red Hill Avenue to effect the arrest of a juvenile suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred earlier in the week.

Details are sketchy but a police helicopter and K9 were requested to the scene when the suspect appeared to barricading himself in an apparent standoff, according to radio traffic.

Witnesses said they saw at least three juveniles being detained however police officials would only confirm one arrest.

Animal control was requested to the scene but a police spokeswoman was unsure why.
