Tustin: Firefighters Extinguish Fire That Filled Home With Smoke

12.13.2022 | 11:51 PM | TUSTIN – Firefighters extinguished a fire that filled a home with smoke, late Tuesday night.

Residents reported the a fire inside their home in the 1400 block of Garland Avenue and began evacuating around 11:51 PM.

When crews arrived they found heavy smoke pouring out of the single-story, single-family home with a fire inside a room.

Firefighters extended a hose line and extinguished the fire in just 6 minutes while also rescuing a dog from inside the home.

At least one resident was evaluated for possible smoke inhalation but declined further medical treatment.

Investigators are on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.
