Tustin: Driver Escapes Injury In Fiery Freeway Crash

06.29.2024 | 10:56 PM | TUSTIN – A two-car crash sparked a fire in one vehicle that landed atop a guardrail, Saturday night.

The crash was reported on the southbound I-5 Freeway at the SR-55 Freeway around 10:56 PM.

Callers reported that a black SUV was driving in an out of lanes when it rear-ended another vehicle and lost control before landing atop a guardrail and catching fire.

Firefighters doused the car fire within minutes and evaluated the drivers involved though all refused medical treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the fiery crash remain under investigation.
