Tustin: Crash Into Pole Near Fire Station Leaves Driver Dead

09.29.2021 | 4:15 AM | TUSTIN – A man was dead after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a pole near a fire station, early Wednesday morning.

Police responded to reports of the crash on Edinger Avenue near Kensington Park Drive around 4:15 AM, according to a police post on social media.

When officers arrived on scene they located a single vehicle that had collided with a pole near OCFA Fire Station No. 37.

Fire officials were alerted to the crash several minutes later and responded to find the male driver trapped in the vehicle.

Despite their efforts to rescue the the man, firefighter paramedics later pronounced him deceased on scene.

Police refused to release additional information regarding the collision but are asking anyone who may have observed the incident to call the Tustin Police Department’s Traffic Unit at (714) 573-3219.
