12.27.2021 | 4:01 AM | TRABUCO CANYON – One person was killed and another was injured when a truck crashed, early Monday morning
The crash was reported near the entrance to O’Neill Regional Park, located in the 30800 block of Trabuco Canyon, shortly after 4:00 AM.
When units arrived on scene they located a Toyota pickup truck that had crashed and overturned, according to a CHP incident log.
The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old man from Costa Mesa had been thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased, radio traffic indicated.
A 24-year-old passenger from Mission Viejo was puled from the overturned vehicle and transported to Mission Hospital with moderate injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation and the identity of the deceased victim was not immediately released.
