Stanton: Two Women Struck, Killed By BMW Sedan

06.01.2026 | 9:00 PM | STANTON – Two women were struck and killed by a BMW sedan, Monday night.

Callers reported a collision involving a white sedan and two pedestrians in the 9100 block of Cerritos Avenue at approximately 9:00 PM.

Authorities arriving on scene found both women down in the roadway with major injuries and a white BMW with front-end damage stopped nearby.

Medics transported the victims — described as being in their 30s and 60s — to a hospital, where both later died. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, police said.

The BMW’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Field sobriety tests were administered, though no arrests were reported.

Surveillance footage from a nearby camera captured audio of the collision, including a horn honking. It remains unclear whether the pedestrians were in a crosswalk at the time.

All lanes of Cerritos Avenue between South Gilbert Street and South Magnolia Avenue were closed until further notice while a Major Accident Investigation Team attended to the scene.
