Stanton: Two Trapped After Security Guard T-Bones Truck

04.04.2026 | 9:48 PM | STANTON – Two people were trapped in their vehicle and had to be freed by firefighters after being t-boned by a security guard, Saturday night.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Cerritos Avenue and Sylvan Street when a white Ford security vehicle collided with a white Ford F-150 pickup truck around 9:48 PM.

The force of the collision caused the pickup truck to overturn, trapping two occupants inside.

When crews arrived they worked to stabilize the overturned pickup truck and use the “Jaws of Life” along with other heavy rescue power tools to extricate the trapped occupants.

Both trapped victims were freed in about 20 minutes and rushed to UCI Medical Center for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately known.

The driver of the security vehicle was evaluated on scene by medics but appeared to refuse transport to a hospital.

Deputies are on scene working to determine the cause of the collision.
