07.28.2023 | 11:35 PM | STANTON – A shooting investigation is underway after a man arrived at a hospital suffering from a gunshot wound, late Friday night.
Authorities were alerted by staff at Western Medical Center staff that a male patient suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm had arrived in the emergency room around 11:35 PM.
Although the victim was described as being uncooperative, deputies were able to locate a crime scene including a blood trail in the 9100 block of Cerritos Avenue.
Cerritos Avenue was blocked near Rodeo Drive while the Orange County Crime Lab responded to collect evidence.
No suspect description or motive was available and the condition of the shooting victim was not immediately disclosed.
