Stanton: Hit & Run Driver Flees Fatal Crash Involving Pedestrian

11.23.2021 | 5:40 AM | STANTON – A hit-and-run driver who fled the scene of a fatal crash involving a pedestrian is being sought by police.

The fatal crash involving a pedestrian was reported around 5:40 AM near the intersection of Knott and Katella avenues.

Units arriving on scene located a pedestrian who had been struck and killed by a vehicle while in lanes of traffic.

The driver that struck the pedestrian fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

The hit-and-run driver is believed to be driving a light-colored SU with roof racks and dark trim. Police said the vehicle may be a 2003-2017 model Ford Expedition and may have front-end damage from the crash.

The identity of the deceased pedestrian was not immediately released.
