Stanton: Crash Involving Pedestrian Leaves One Dead

01.12.2022 | 8:05 PM | STANTON – A pedestrian that became trapped under a vehicle after a crash was dead, Wednesday night.

The traffic collision involving a pedestrian was reported near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Katella Avenue shortly after 8:00 PM.

When units arrived on scene they located a pedestrian underneath a Chevrolet Sedan. Crews rescued pedestrian but later pronounced them deceased on scene.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian appeared uninjured but was being evaluated by authorities for potential drug or alcohol impairment.

All lanes of Beach Boulevard are closed at Katella Avenue until further notice, according to a SigAlert.
