03.04.2022 | 4:00 PM | SEAL BEACH – A convicted felon was charged with sexually assaulting an 85-year-old female at a nursing home he was living in, authorities announced Friday.

The charges against 52-year-old Louie Alonso Alberto, of Seal Beach, came after authorities responded to reports of a woman screaming at a skilled nursing facility around 6:45 AM on Mar. 1, 2022.

When authorities arrived they had to force their way through a wheelchair that was barricading a door and discovered Alberto on top of an 85-year-old woman.

Police promptly arrested Alberto although it was unclear if the woman, who was laying in her bed, was injured.

Alberto, a fellow resident of the skilled nursing facility, was previously convicted and sent to prison in connection with charges he inflicted corporal injuries upon a spouse.

The charges leveled against Alberto include one count of felony sodomy of an incompetent person and two felony counts of assault with intent to commit a sexual offense.

If convicted on all charges Alberto could face 7 to 10 years in prison.

Court records show he is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.
