01.24.2026 | 12:14 AM | SEAL BEACH – A vehicle wanted in connection with a carjacking crashed during a pursuit leaving one suspect injured, early Saturday morning.
Officer attempted to stop a silver 2008 Toyota Rav4 wanted in connection with carjacking that occurred in Cypress shortly after midnight.
The driver of the Toyota failed to stop for officers setting off a pursuit that that continued for several minutes before ending in a collision on the Seal Beach Boulevard on ramp to the northbound I-405 Freeway around 12:14 AM.
The force of the collision caused the Toyota to overturn. Both occupants were quickly detained with one being later transported to hospital.
All northbound I-405 Freeway mainline lanes were closed along with the Seal Beach Boulevard on and off ramps while police attended to the pursuit crash.
Additional information regarding the carjacking report that lead to the pursuit was not immediately available.
