Santa Ana: Vehicle Strikes Two Pedestrians Outside Of Crosswalk

08.28.2021 | 9:07 PM | SANTA ANA – Two men crossing a street outside of a crosswalk were struck by a vehicle, Saturday night.

The men were stuck by a vehicle while crossing East 1st Street near North Lacy Street around 9:07 PM.

Firefighter paramedics treated both men on scene before rushing them to area hospitals in serious but stable condition.

The driver that struck the men remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement. Police do not suspect he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs although the investigation was still ongoing.

Both directions of East 1st Street were closed between Oak Street and South Halliday Street for about an hour while officers investigated.
