Santa Ana: Vehicle Fire Breaks Out At Storage Yard

07.31.2020 | 8:21 PM | SANTA ANA – A vehicle fire broke out at a storage yard and could be seen from the SR-55 Freeway, Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle fire at the O’Neil Storage located in the 1900 block of East Saint Andrew Place, near East Glenwood Place, around 8:21 PM.

Units arriving on scene located the fire inside a vehicle storage yard but had a difficult time accessing it due to a locked gate.

After forcing entry into the yard the firefighters quickly doused a white pickup truck that was engulfed in flames.

Nearby vehicles and a trailer appeared to be damaged but did not catch fire.

The owner of the truck said that he was unable to turn off the vehicle when it caught fire while parking.

Smoke and flames from the fire could be seen from the SR-55 Freeway and prompted multiple calls from people passing by the area.
