Santa Ana: Two Suspects Apprehended After Fleeing In Stolen Vehicle

02.10.2022 | 10:43 PM | SANTA ANA – Two suspects were apprehended after fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle, late Thursday night.

The chase began near the intersection of South Macduff Street and Lola Avenue in Stanton around 10:43 PM when deputies attempted to stop a black 2018 Toyota CH-R that had been reported stolen.

The driver of the vehicle fled from deputies at triple-digit speeds going wrong-way at points before eventually crashing into a gate in the 1200 block of Glenwood Place, near South Bristol Street, around 11:15 PM.

Both suspects fled from the vehicle on foot, jumping into the backyards of nearby homes in an attempt to evade officers who surrounded the area.

After several hours both suspects were placed into custody around 1:15 AM Friday morning.

It was unclear what charges the pair might face.
