Santa Ana: Two Dead, Three Others Injured After Crash

02.04.2022 | 5:50 PM | SANTA ANA – A multi-vehicle crash near a high school killed two people and resulted in three others being rushed to area hospitals, Friday evening.

The fatal collision was reported on South Bristol Street just north of West Saint Andrew Place, near Mater Dei High School, around 5:50 PM.

When crews arrived on scene they located a crash involving four vehicles with one vehicle on top of another.

Two people from the crash, both described as men in this 60s, were trapped in the wreckage and later pronounced deceased on scene. Their identifies were not immediately released.

Four other people were evaluated by firefighter paramedics, according to radio traffic.

Three of those individuals were provided treatment on scene before being rushed to area hospitals while another refused medical treatment at the scene, the traffic indicated.

At least one person showed signs of impairment although no arrests were immediately made in connection with the wreck.

All lanes of South Bristol Street were closed between West Saint Andrew Place and West Edinger Avenue until further notice while authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
