Santa Ana: SWAT Team Raids House Possibly Related To Murder

03.28.2020 | 1:45 AM | SANTA ANA – A SWAT team descended on a house to serve a warrant possibly related to the recent murder of a 15-year-old boy, early Saturday morning.

A team of SWAT operators and uniformed officers joined by medical professionals descended on the home located in the 1600 block of West 12th Street around 1:45 AM.

The officers made announcements to the occupants of the home that they had a warrant to search the premises and demanded that anyone inside exit.

A concussion device was used prompting at least two women to exit the home.

One of the women, who was elderly, was seen sitting in an ambulance and being attended to by firefighters and paramedics.

The second woman appeared to be cooperating with law enforcement. Neither women appeared to be under arrest.

Reports from the scene indicate the search warrant may be related to the murder of a 15-year-old boy only a block away at El Salvador Park, located in the 1800 block of West Civic Center Drive, on Wednesday.

Police would not confirm that the incident was related to the murder investigation, but officers previously stated that they were looking for two suspect in relation to the murder.

No injuries were reported during the raid and investigators were continuing to investigate.
