Santa Ana: Suspicious Tow Yard Fire Destroys Numerous Cars

11.29.2019 | 11:32 PM | SANTA ANA – Over a dozen cars being stored at a tow yard were destroyed after a suspicious fire broke out, late Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle fire threatening a structure at the Metro-Pro Road Service tow yard located in the 2500 block of South Garnsey Street around 11:32 PM.

Crews arriving on scene located over a dozen vehicles engulfed in flames next to a commercial building and began efforts to attack the blaze.

Firefighters doused the flames and extinguished the bulk of the fire within 20 minutes, preventing damage to the nearby commercial structure.

The cause of the fire was considered suspicious and fire investigators along with police officials are on scene investigating.

No injuries were reported.
