Santa Ana: Strip Mall Fire Damages Donut Shop

04.21.2021 | 11:23 PM | SANTA ANA – A fire in a strip mall damaged a donut shop but was contained by firefighters before it spread to other businesses, late Wednesday night.

The fire was first reported around 11:23 PM at Dey’s Donuts & Croissants, located in the 600 block of South Euclid Street.

When crews arrived on scene they located heavy smoke showing from the donut shop and began efforts to extinguish the blaze.

Firefighters had to force entry into the business past scissor gates but still managed to extinguish the blaze, protecting five other businesses, in about 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported and fire investigators are on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.
