Santa Ana: Shots Fired In Neighborhood, Nobody Struck

12.04.2021 | 11:25 PM | SANTA ANA – Police are investigating after shots were fired in a neighborhood although nobody was struck, late Saturday night.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire hear in the 1000 block of West Walnut Street, near South Shelton Avenue, around 11:25 PM.

While units were responding they heard additional gunfire and a police helicopter then spotted a vehicle fleeing the area.

The vehicle was stopped by officers who later determined the driver was just fleeing from the sound of gunfire but was not involved in the incident.

Several shell casings were discovered on West Walnut Street prompting officers to establish a crime scene as they investigated.

No victims from the shooting were immediately reported.
