Santa Ana: Shooting Victim Arrives At Fire Station

03.10.2021 | 12:42 AM | SANTA ANA – A man arrived at a fire station after he was shot multiple times at a nearby park, early Wednesday morning.

The shooting was first reported around 12:42 AM at the Albert D. Salgado Community Center at Rosita Park, located in the 700 block of North Newhope Street, near Hazard Avenue.

Authorities were unable to locate a victim at the park but later learned that a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds had arrived at a nearby fire station located in the 500 block of North Newhope Street.

Firefighter paramedics treated the shooting victim outside their fire station before rushing him to UCI Medical Center in unknown condition.

Officers cordoned off the scene of the apparent shooting at Rosita Park while crime scene investigators combed the area for evidence.

Information regarding the circumstances that led up to the shooting including any suspect descriptions were not immediately available.
