Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down near the intersection of East Occidental and Maple streets around 1:41 AM.
Units arriving on scene located an adult female suffering from an unspecified injuries after the shooting.
Firefighter paramedics treated the woman on scene before transporting her to an area hospital in unknown condition.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting including motive and any suspect descriptions were not immediately available.
