Santa Ana: Seven-Year-Old Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle

09.05.2022 | 12:00 PM | SANTA ANA – A seven-year-old boy died after being struck by a vehicle, police announced Monday.

The deadly collision occurred Sunday night in the 700 block of North Rosita Street, near the Rosita Elementary School, when a vehicle collided with the boy around 8:40 PM.

When authorities arrived they located the boy with critical injuries down in the roadway.

Medics rendered aid and rushed the boy to an area hospital but sadly he died as a result of his injuries.

The driver that struck the boy remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

Police believe the child was crossing Rosita Street north of 7th Street when the southbound vehicle struck him.

The circumstances surrounding the tragic crash remain under investigation but police did not believe alcohol was involved.
