12.04.2021 | 1:20 AM | SANTA ANA – Police are investigating a crashed vehicle that was found shot with nobody around, early Saturday morning.
The shooting was reported in the 1600 block of North Parton Street, just south of West 17th Street, around 1:20 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a black 2008 Chrysler Sebring abandoned in the middle of the street.
The Chrysler had collision damage on the passenger side and several apparent bullet holes on the driver side.
Numerous shell casings were also discovered in the street behind the vehicle prompting officers to erect a crime scene surrounding the area.
No victim was located despite a search of the immediate area.
At least one other that was parked along the street sustained damage from the gunfire.
