01.26.2023 | 2:30 PM | SANTA ANA – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle prompting a road closure that lasted hours, Thursday afternoon.
The crash occurred in the 900 block of North Main Street when a black Chevrolet Camaro traveling southbound struck a pedestrian crossing the street around 2:30 PM.
When authorities arrived they found an approximately 30-year-old male down in the roadway and initiated life-saving measured while rushing him to an area hospital. Despite their efforts hospital staff later was pronounced deceased the pedestrian deceased..
The driver of the Chevrolet stopped at the scene and was cooperating with law enforcement during an investigation that prompted the closure of all lanes of North Main Street between 8th and 10th streets for hours.
