11.24.2022 | 3:22 AM | SANTA ANA – A pedestrian died on a freeway after being struck by numerous vehicles, early Thursday morning.
The deadly Thanksgiving Day crash occurred on the eastbound SR-22 Freeway over Bristol Street and was reported by callers around 3:22 AM.
When authorities arrived on scene they located the pedestrian, who has yet to be publicly identified, deceased in lanes.
Several vehicles that sustained minor damage from striking the downed pedestrian stopped nearby however a witness said numerous other vehicles struck the pedestrian and continued on without stopping.
It was unclear why the pedestrian was on the freeway and no description of the vehicles that struck the pedestrian without stopping was available.
Several eastbound lanes including the Bristol Street off ramp were closed until further notice while police investigated the deadly crash.
