Santa Ana: Pedestrian Killed In Hit & Run Crash

10.20.2024 | 12:31 AM | SANTA ANA – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver that remains outstanding, early Sunday morning.

The deadly collision was reported on North Bristol Street between West Santa Clara Avenue and West Park Lane around 12:31 AM.

When authorities arrived they located 31-year-old Ralph Marin, of Santa Ana, down in the roadway with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

Medics attempted to render aid but ultimately pronounced Marin deceased on scene.

Initial reports indicate an unknown vehicle struck Marin and fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

A second vehicle collided with Marin but remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

No description of the hit-and-run vehicle was immediately provided though police indicated that both the driver and vehicle remain outstanding.

Both directions of North Bristol Street were closed between West Santa Clara Avenue and Memory Lane for hours while authorities investigated the deadly hit-and-run collision.
