Santa Ana: Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By At Least One Vehicle

05.07.2023 | 1:06 AM | SANTA ANA – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by at least one vehicle, early Sunday morning.

The deadly crash involving a pedestrian was reported in the 500 block of North Harbor Boulevard, north of West 5th Street, around 1:06 AM.

When authorities arrived they found a pedestrian down in southbound lanes along with a blue 2006 Honda Odyssey and a grey 2013 Honda Civic stopped nearby.

Medics pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene and evaluated the drivers of both stopped vehicles.

The driver of the Odyssey was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries while the driver of the Civic declined further treatment.

It was unclear if both vehicles struck the pedestrian or if a secondary collision occurred although police said that drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factor with respect to the drivers.

Both directions of Harbor Boulevard were closed until further notice while authorities investigated the deadly crash.
