Santa Ana: One Pedestrian Killed, Another Critically Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle

06.05.2022 | 1:45 PM | SANTA ANA – One pedestrian was killed and another was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle, police announced Sunday.

The crash was reported in the 4700 block of West 1st Street around 8:27 PM on Jun. 5, 2022 when two pedestrians crossing a street were struck by a westbound vehicle.

When authorities arrived they located one of the pedestrians deceased.

A second pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital where they were listed in critical condition, police said.

The driver that struck the pedestrians remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash but said the circumstances surrounding the collision remain under the investigation.
